The Land
Midwest Urban Farms’ principle location is a small scale market garden established in 2018 called Line Creek Acres (LCA). It’s placed along the southeast corner of the great Missouri River Basin and borders the Line Creek tributary and trail in Kansas City, Missouri.
The Farmer
My name is Robert Morales. I am a native of Johnson County Kansas but have lived in my adopted home of Missouri since 2009. Together with my wife, I put roots down in the northland of Kansas City to live out my dream of owning and operating a local urban farm.
The Mission
The long-term mission of LCA is to use sustainable no-dig methods of growing to produce bio-nutrient rich food, to make it available to the communities of and around the greater Kansas City area, and to beautify the land by restoring balance to the local ecosystem.
